What happened at launch?

Black Friday Janitor released on Steam on September 9, 2026. The store lists single-player play, 33 achievements, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing.

The developer separately announced on September 11 that Cloud saves had been enabled.

What changed in patch v1.0.3?

Published September 11, v1.0.3:

• fixed an issue with the number-of-tasks-completed achievement;
• fixed additional mislabeled objects;
• fixed a bag placement in The Luxury Store that was not properly aligned to the shelf.

The task fix matters to the task progress guide. The object changes matter to the store directory because a misplaced-looking object may have been a patched data issue rather than player error.

What changed in patch v1.0.4?

The Even Color Update was published September 14:

• affected store items now generate with an even distribution of colors in new runs;
• existing saves retain their original assigned colors;
• Gather is much less likely to pull from another store for shared items;
• boxes that appeared too dark were fixed;
• a hole in the cinema floor was fixed.

How should guides respond to patches?

Every gameplay table should carry a review date, and version-sensitive claims should link back to the announcement that changed them. Old-save and new-save behavior must be separated when generation rules differ.
